About Vicki Huston

Tired and worn from stresses in life I sought a solution for inner peace and well-being. After a few Reiki treatments I knew that I had found a practice that worked for me. Simple yet profound!
I did my first Reiki Course six years ago and haven’t looked back. I started with a Western System and now have embraced more Traditional Japanese practices . I practice and teach Usui Reiki Ryoho, a traditional form of Reiki practiced in Japan since the early 1900’s. My inspiration to practice and teach came from my appreciation of the profound effects that Reiki has played in my life. I enjoy helping people to connect with their inner healing and self development possibilities via the system of Reiki.

Reiki, what is it?

Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese word meaning spiritual energy. It is a safe, gentle and entirely natural form of healing suitable for everyone. Developed by Mikao Usui in the 1900’s Reiki is a Japanese relaxation and healing technique that works on the energetic system of the body. The Reiki energy harmonises and balances your energetic system. It is currently helping many people in hospitals and clinics worldwide with great results.

What happens during a treatment?

A Reiki Treatment is usually one hour in duration. The treatments are individually tailored to your needs and condition. The practitioner rests hands for a few minutes on specific areas of the body (head, torso, legs and back) allowing the energy to pass through to you. You remain fully clothed at all times.
Reiki works at all levels of our being. Our bodies have an amazing intelligence of their own, when given the opportunity, their ability to heal is immeasurable. Reiki provides an environment where we can be one with our mind, our body and our spirit and bring them back into harmony.
During the treatment you may feel a deep sense of peace, warm or cool sensations radiating from the practitioners hands and be left feeling light and refreshed.

What can a Reiki Treatment do for you?

Typical results include:

  • Reduces stress
  • Eases pain
  • Calms the mind
  • Balances your emotions
  • Improves your intuition
  • Works on all chronic and acute illness
  • Increases sense of purpose

Reiki Courses

Reiki Treatments are wonderful. At some stage though, you may wish to incorporate the benefits of Reiki further into your daily life. The way to do this is via a Reiki Course.
A Reiki Course provides you with a set of tools to create a personal practice for self development and personal healing that will enrich and nourish your life from within.
I teach a traditional Japanese form of Reiki called Usui Reiki Ryoho. This particular method of Reiki includes physical and energy enhancing techniques to help you delve deeper into your practice. As you work with these tools your inner awareness grows.

There are three levels of Reiki courses

  • In the first level (Shoden)
You will learn how to use Reiki on yourself and others.
  • At the second level (Okuden)
Different tools are taught to focus your intent and build a personal practice. At this level you may wish to develop your skills as a practioner.
  • The third level (Shinpiden)
This level takes you further into your personal development and understanding of the system of Reiki.

All courses consist of:

  • Small groups
  • Comprehensive and extensive course manuals
  • Certification for each level completed
  • Individual support via regular student practice days.
